One song that is dark and light at the same time is the Fox by Nada Surf. If you have not heard this song then you need to if you like a good unique music listen. One thing that you will find with Nada Surf is the talent seems so simple yet unique and special in its own way. The album Lucky which was released earlier this year has proved to be one of my favorites. Definitely on my top 10 list for 2008.
Also another band you might want to check out is Pinback. These guys continue to exude a melodic rock sound that is catchy and poppy at the same time. Definitely spacey music.
